At Bubble Robotics, we’re building long mission duration underwater drones to make subsea monitoring 5x more cost-effective, scalable, and safe. Our mission? To unlock the blue economy's full potential while driving large-scale underwater restoration.

Backed by Entrepreneur First, we’re heading to San Francisco in February 2025 to build our first prototype and prep for investor Demo Day. With three major offshore customers already on board, we’re gearing up for testing by Summer 2025 – and we’re looking for a driven and ambitious individual to join us as a potential founding engineer.

✅  Your role

In San Francisco we will build our first prototype in time for investor Demo Day in April 2025. As a founding engineer, you’ll dive into a dynamic mix of software and hardware challenges, working side-by-side with our CTO to bring this vision to life.

• Develop our first docking and charging prototype tailored to a customer use case using initially an off-the-shelf AUV.
• Build and test simulation environments (e.g., ROS/Gazebo) for navigation stack development.
• Integrate sensors (sonar, cameras, environmental) for underwater navigation and data collection.
• Collaborate with our CTO to design and implement the navigation, autonomy, and data gathering architectures.
• Conduct field testing and iterate on prototypes.
• Participate in investor pitch preparations and showcase work during Demo Day.
